If problem foods cause you problem symptoms that add to your misery with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, check out this information on Mary Moeller.

Whether you suffer with Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, what foods you eat -or lack of “good” food- is often a real mountain to climb because problem foods certainly can cause lots of problem symptoms. They cause digestion problems at the least and readily add to immune dysfunction and a general increase in overall symptoms. Can suicide be one of those symptoms? You decide.

The truth is our bodies react to the foods we eat!

Foods were a big problem for me many years ago and for Mary Moeller, my interview guest yesterday. Read more about her fascinating story below… .

Even though Mary was a licensed clinical practical nurse with her education and care rooted in traditional medicine, she went through a tough time trying to figure out her illnesses and associated food questions. She felt forced to find better answers than the ones available.

Very soon, not only was she sick with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but her young seven-year old daughter came down with Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia. That had to tear Mary apart seeing her young person fall so desperately ill, yet know that if things were going to turn around, it was up to her because nothing was helping at all!

The Possibility of Suicide

Either way, surely every member of her family was suffering to the point that Mary began to consider personal suicide. Now she quickly gave up the idea of taking her life in order to find the needed answers to get her and her daughter well, but that didn’t mean that at that moment suicide didn’t seem like a viable option- a way out.

I think it’s safe to say that taking your life is never the best way out. However living through such horrible illness symptoms is a very personal journey and often seems more like living through an unending nightmare.

If you haven’t read and listened to yesterday’s Health Matters Show podcast, I urge you to do it now while this subject is fresh on your mind. Then, please, take the time to comment on that particular post. When you comment about something that really moves you, your action (your comment) increases the likelihood that search engines like Google and Yahoo, plus all the social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Digg and more will pick up this vital data. The more comments and posts about the original post, the higher it will rank in all searches. That means more people will find it and that is the purpose of all this! Good information for those folks who need it.

Dear One, if you and I are going to do what we can to conquer these illnesses, it’s critical that we work together, support each other and get the good word out about all of the issues surrounding Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Thank you so much,
Cinda Crawford, host of the Health Matters Show

For a child or young people who have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or ME/CFS: Check out the Health Matters Show for good information about getting well.

Both of the resources that I passed along to you yesterday about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), should help you to get informed about the illness and help you manage its affects for your child or in young people.

However both of these resources are inadequate to use alone. Yes, there are books, reports and lots of information on healing mechanisms that you can find, but nothing adds more value and long term help to your young person being sick more than an older relative or friend giving personal time, attention and interest to them in seeing that they live as healthfully (e.g. “full of health”) as possible.

That surely offers them the best chance to get well that you can facilitate happening. Go the extra mile and search for data and resources that take a bit more digging to uncover, but are likely to be the very things that will provide the biggest benefit.

Plus, the guide I talked about yesterday does not mention the wisdom of seeing any particular specialist beyond a counselor or psychiatrist. [That's probably because this guide originates from Europe, specifically the United Kingdom (UK). In that part of the world, Myalgic Encephlomyelitis (ME/CFS) is considered to have more of a psychological basis or cause.] Please do not accept this opinion as the gospel truth.

ME/CFS represents itself to be a complicated, multi-symptom illness that manifests differently in different people. To think that someone can will himself to become sick with ME/CFS or simply cause it to occur because of a psychological hangup or problem is so utterly ridiculous that those words are hard to even write. It is beyond me how this remains a prevailing and popular opinion in some circles throughout the UK.

NOTE: There are specialists all over the world who can help you figure out ME/CFS. In the United States there are a number of doctors who specialize in Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and ME/CFS. For the parents and friends of young patients, there are also adjunct, alternative medical therapies and protocols which may help your young one recover. I encourage you to look into them. Such activities and protocols include:

meditation (which is therapeutic for most people) -and- mindfulness

yoga

tai chi

acupuncture

reiki

chiropractic care

stretching

massage

moderate exercise like warm water pool therapy or walking if possible. If it’s not, forego this level of activity until the body is stronger.

add-on vitamins, supplements, essential oils and nutraceuticals to build up the body and foster good health (Note: the audio includes a couple of suggestions. Find others by searching for “essential oils” here on this website.)

actual healing protocols created and administered by alternative health practitioners, like me. I use a proprietary healing method that I developed called Sacred Cellular Healing. It is designed to encourage the body to repair itself and be healthy again. It is effective face-to-face and in person or it is equally effective when done at a distance over the telephone.

Few if any of these possibilities are mentioned or even hinted at in the European how-to guide, but you can and should check them out. This is your decision and your responsibility. Your young person needs you to help find a way for him or her to be healthy again!

Decide if any measures are appropriate to introduce into their world. Many of the choices, like Sacred Cellular Healing, are designed to encourage the body to heal itself, which is very possible. Consider that the body heals itself all the time from all kinds of ailments. How, you ask? Because God designed it that way and it’s still possible.

If you happen to come across additional ideas or know of other helpful tools for children, young people and parents who find themselves in this situation, please send them in here to the Health Matters Show and I will post them. I welcome your comments below.

Thanks, Cinda Crawford

If your child or young person suffers with ME/CFS, check out several tools you can use at the Health Matters Show with Cinda Crawford.

When children and young people show signs of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (a.k.a. Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or ME/CFS), that is often just the beginning of a long, tough physical illness. At the same time, they exhibit emotional and psychological symptoms that cause everything in their lives to suddenly be more complicated.

I feel really sad when I see children and young people suffering with a severe chronic illness like ME/CFS , but I also know of the many possibilities for them to begin feeling better. This is a challenge worth your time and effort to pursue.

Trouble doesn’t often begin at birth with an illness like ME/CFS, but more often this particular health challenge occurs years later. Whether genetic components, internal imbalances, infections or some other trauma is the cause has not been determined. The illness may manifest because of a combination of factors. Science is studying this. It’s not the purpose of this blog post to include the reams of material on that subject here now.

Today the objective of the Health Matters Show is to provide you, your child or your young person with the means of learning how to cope with these high degrees of illness in a way that makes life more meaningful and manageable.

See 2 “How to Cope” links below and discover:

1) a free, special, downloadable coloring book that has been designed for your older young child or your younger young person. It can be useful to explain the illness to a child when he or she is sick. (*Or when an adult has the health problem, such as when mommy, daddy or sister is sick. When a major person in a child’s life is ill long term, the child/young person can be affected greatly and will need this kind of special love and support.)

-AND-

2) a fascinating young person’s guide to ME/CFS.

But this is only part of the answer. Check back in at the Health Matters Show tomorrow for Part 2 of this exciting and informative series.

Have a great day. I wish you health and success in this challenging adventure.
Cinda Crawford, host of the Health Matters Show
