If you’re sick all over and suffering with Fibromyalgia (Fibro or FMS) and/or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS or ME/CFS), you’re not suffering in just one, easy-to-point-to, physical spot or location.
A. In fact, your entire body is involved. You feel sick all over, you’re exhausted and you probably hurt in so many places that you can’t point to them all. How can that be?
If I’m guessing right, you’re worrying that something major has gone haywire in your body and you may this sick… indefinitely!
B. And what is the absolute pits, you’re suffering with different types of multiple symptoms. They come and go at will, plus they show up at the most inconvenient times. Some of them are so odd that you can’t describe them well to your doctor, friends or family.
Yes, everything about your health seems off-track. The most critical issue is how to successfully treat your symptoms and get you back to normal. Consider the following examples:
- Unreliable/ Factoid: It’s not logical to think that a medical professional would treat your thyroid (if its dysfunctional) and magically every part of you (that is suffering with Fibromyalgia) will get well. Your thyroid may be dysfunctional, but thyroid dysfunction is not proven to be the cause of Fibromyalgia.
- Truth/ Fact: There is no evidence to conclude that an all-over-the-body illness like Fibromyalgia is caused by thyroid dysfunction or any one body system dysfunction. It’s more likely that Fibromyalgia stems from multi-causes and results in a multi-system health failure of sorts.
- Unproven Generality: If you boost (improve) your immune system through better diet and consumption of vitamins and antioxidants, you’ll get well right away from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome -and- you won’t get sick again.
- Truth/ Fact: No amount of quality food and water consumption can guarantee such a statement. Certainly your body has the capacity to be healthier by eating a good diet. That is a major tenet of good health. However, no one can claim that you absolutely can heal any illness (except malnutrition) by improving your diet and taking supplements.
Time and time again, history shows us that healing and remission of disease occur in people when their whole concept of what it takes to feel good and lead a healthy life expands galaxies beyond the old “I’m sick” mentality. “You must begin to believe in healing.” There are cases of spontaneous remission of cancer and chronic illnesses like Fibromyalgia or Chonic Fatigue Syndrome, but in every case that I know of, there is a purposeful intent of the person to be healthy again– mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy.
QUESTION: How “on purpose” are you going to live your life? More than the act of simply wishing and hoping is required, if you intend to get well. I dare you to make a resolution not to be sick all over– any longer.
(The word resolve: make a decision to act; make a forward change.)
PS- If you return here tomorrow, we’ll discuss a list of “holistic” suggestions that are helping people like you heal– and more!
See you tomorrow,
