mercury-elementToday I’m writing to people with chronic illnesses like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but the principles here apply to everyone. You may have heard that we (as a population of people) are eating more high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) than is almost imaginable and certainly good for us. We’re even eating more HFCS than we are sugar… and that’s a lot!

If you begin to read the labels of any type of pre-packaged food product or drink, high fructose corn syrup is likely to be a main ingredient. Often it’s the first ingredient and our “health” as a people is beginning to suffer because of our high level of consumption.

*Remember that on a food label the highest quantity of all components are listed first, going in reverse order to least ingredient showing up last. Hint: If you haven’t been reading your food labels, begin doing so today. You’ll be amazed at what’s in all the processed foods that most people are consuming regularly.

Research continues about HFCS because so many lives are being affected negatively. Begin scanning the air waves and the net and you’ll find the cries of many a nutritionist and health worker/writer.

The new problem arising with high fructose corn syrup is the high degree of mercury that is now showing up in such food products and that could mean disaster for people with immune system problems, like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, other chronic illnesses, or anyone fighting to maintain a normal level of health, like children and young people.

“Mercury is toxic in all its forms,” said IATP’s David Wallinga, M.D., and a co-author in both studies. “Given how much high fructose corn syrup is consumed by children, it could be a significant additional source of mercury never before considered. We are calling for immediate changes by industry and the FDA to help stop this avoidable mercury contamination of the food supply.”

Read more about the dangers of mercury in high fructose corn syrup today and begin considering every bite you put in your mouth.

TIP: Our Creator didn’t insert mercury into our bananas, apples or roaming herds of animals. Only man added mercury into our biological equation through re-engineered and manufactured food products. Be alert to the foods you eat. Otherwise, the result could be (and probably will be) a health disaster waiting to happen.

Remember when you were healthy before Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Thanks and eat to your health.

PS- There’s a lot of thought that eating high fructose corn syrup causes many of the residual symptoms of both Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. If anyone wants to send in some short diet dos and don’ts, I’ll post them here “for information purposes.” Thanks!
