What does it take to get physically healthy again?

Questions and answers needed today!

Obviously this is a huge topic and the subject of many books, especially if you suffer with a long term chronic illness like Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Part of the reason for that is because these two illnesses are thought to be so-o-oo very complicated!

Most people are confused about where and how to even start the process of healing.

I’ve asked you this week to think about the areas of 1) muscles and bones, and 2) diet and nutrition. They are certainly key areas involving some tough questions, even touching upon the problems of survival and whether it’s even possible to overcome your health problems! So…. have you been jotting your health questions and concerns this week?

What Other Recommendations Do You Need?

The next step might be to get specific recommendations for:

  1. C) Breathing, sinuses and lungs
  2. D) A balanced immune system that is capable of fighting off disease, but not at the expense of being too aggressive and generating autoimmune symptoms and conditions
  3. E) Blood, lymph fluids and all circulation systems
  4. F) Brain, memory and cognition factors
  5. G) Sleep dysfunction and finally,
  6. H) Dysfunctionality of other organs or organ systems
  7. To answer all those would take many days and reams of paper to print out. So instead, I’m turning the tables on this discussion. Today, I’m making the Health Matters Show your show for health questions and health problems!

How? Because today you can post any specific information you have about how to attain good health concerning any of these areas that we’ve talked about this week. Do so by commenting below.

*Just reference it well according to the topics in the list. A) was muscles and bones, B) was diet and nutrition. See C through H above for your reference points.

**You may leave one self-promoting link back to your website if you like and if you have some really good product or service to share. Just back up your claim with specific information. Don’t simply leave a frivolous link and move on. Readers will turn you off if it looks like you’re spamming and so will I!

I make this goodwill gesture of allowing you to post information here because so many people often ask me what types of things work for certain health problems. Since I’m extremely well and take few drugs or supplements of any kind anymore, I can’t always tell them.

The only exception to that is 1) I know a fair amount about ProHealth.com and I recommend this resource website freely although I don’t make a penny for doing so. That’s how much I believe in what they are doing and their products. I also recommend that people talk to one of my “nutrition” buddies and experts, someone like Robin Thomas, Julie Koritz or Deidre Rawlings. (Let me know if you’d like to contact one of them and I’ll make the introduction.)

    2) On a personal level, I have the most knowledge about and trust Young Living because I take frequent training on their products and because I use the essential oils and nutritional support products all the time. I recommend them highly to my clients and the students who study with me.

FYI… I’m actually traveling on a trip today and wrote this post ahead of time. Before I left home, I stocked my bag full of the Young Living essential oils that I might need. They’re small, handy and powerful! (Here’s my account of what they did for me during a similar trip.) Now I can travel with confidence that if I do get some nasty symptoms, more than likely I’ll have what I need to support me. Chances are I wouldn’t have to go running to some strange doctor or hospital. That alone saves me money, time and the aggravation of being sick with symptoms that I’d rather not have to put up with!

Today is your chance to share the information that you know.

I encourage you to do it. :-)

(In no more than 200 words.)

Today also is your opportunity to post the health questions that you have about how to get well from Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Do that my commenting below, too.

This post if a central location for all your questions and answers. There’s a really important reason for that. Between now and the end of May, I will be conducting several teleseminars in honor of…

FIBROMYALGIA AND CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME AWARENESS DAY ON MAY 12th!

I want your questions when considering the topics and areas of interest to compose and organize the teleseminar topics and material. Your input will guide and help me figure out the best guest experts to invite, those who can talk to us on your subjects of interest… therefore who can help us the most. In other words, these teleseminars will be yours!

If I have all of the info and questions tied to this one post in this central location, it will make my job a lot easier, as opposed to trying to find it all over Twitter, Facebook and every other social network and group. So help me out here, friends. :-)

Post away and tell all your girl and guy friends to submit their most burning questions. Share this post. The more input I get, the better the teleseminars will be and the more they have a chance of helping people.

PS- Note: I will be doing these teleseminars as part of a joint project with several other professionals. The synergy of such a venture is very exciting. If any of your questions look like they will help the other teleseminar hosts, I’ll pass the info on (questions and points only- no personal data- I promise). Also I will send you a notice about the other teleseminar presentations, too, when the final schedules are available and that may start as soon as Monday, so be sure to sign up on the teleseminar list and then check your email in-box.

PPS- And don’t fear about signing up for my list. Always, the best way to be notified of all of the teleseminars and other topical presentations is to sign up on a list like this. That way you don’t miss an event. You’ll find the sign up box on the right hand side of the Health Matters Show blog. Once the list comes out and I notify you, you can pick and choose which presentations appeal to you most. You’re welcomed to sign up for them all or just one. *Just be sure to sign up for each individual event when the offer is made. They will all be separate events.

Okay, thanks for dropping by the Health Matters Show today. I can’t wait to share even more great information with you, including the deluge of questions and answers that will surely follow.

Thanks Cindy,
Fibromyalgia and CFS have so many aspects to them, I am always so glad to see us look at the whole person, physically and emotionally, to improve their health. Only one piece of the puzzle of getting healthier is to take careful consideration of nutrition and diet. A colleague of mine, Dr Ray Strand, has both personal experience (his wife with fibro has had dramatic improvement) and medical experience with successfully helping patients reach their optimal health. Working with over 1000 patients, Dr. Strand has seen one of the major underlying causes to be oxidative stress. Most have significant improvement while using high-quality, complete and balanced nutritional supplements along with necessary antioxidant optimizers such as Proflavanol 90. We see a consistant pattern of improvement: thinking and focus improves in the first two months, reducing that “brain fog” which is such a common complaint. Next is an improvement in sleeping patterns and increased energy. The last to improve are the pain, fever, and frequent infections. These decrease in symptons indicate that the immune system is definitely improving. Many clients comment “I actually have my life back!”

Usana Health Sciences manufactures some of the highest quality supplements you can find in North America, undergoing extensive testing for pharmaceutical-grade GMPs. The quality of products that is placed in most supplements is of inferior quality and their manufacturing processes are generally suspect. Some people have gone out to their local chain stores, drug stores, or health food stores and try to put together Dr. Strand’s recommendations on their own. The frustrating thing is that they think that they are doing what is recommended only to either not get any health benefits from their efforts or very marginal results.

Please feel free to contact me for a private personal consultation on how we can help you find optimal nutrition and take steps to getting your life back. You can email me at robin@robinthomas.biz . In the meantime, take a look at my products website at http://robinsproducts.usana.com
Be Well!
Robin

I’m just a patient, I’m no doctor. I try to help people as much and as freely as I can, Cinda, you know, and I think my main concern is helping people understand that there is life after diagnoses for women.

You can have a partner, you can have a baby, and you most certainly CAN have a life after diagnoses of fibromyalgia. It’s NOT a death sentence as some people believe on the net. Yes, it’s real, but you can over come it, live a great life, and feel fabulous doing so.

I hope you don’t mind me saying this Cinda but I’ve seen WAY too much negativity on the net as far as this disease is concerned.

Robin, I’m glad that you mentioned Usana and your products. I know they’re good and helping a lot of people. I think we should consider you coming on the Health Matters Show to discuss them more fully. Have a great weekend and, again, thanks for your comments.

I’m in a similar position as you Kimberley because I’ve been the patient, but I’m not a doctor. My Sunday Sharing post this week actually makes fun of that fact in my life. However, being ill is often such a serious matter with folks that they lose their sense of humor and their hope. I really hate that. As humans, we can sacrifice many things, but one thing we must keep is our sense of hope and the joy of living. see some people who do, but I think most people that they cannot do that… they must remain hopeful if they are to have a chance at healing. Those are the people who I find that have the best chance at getting better and the ones who I can help the most readily. Attitude is king when the body is not cooperating. One of the best books I’ve found to explain the connection between what happens in the body and what is lodged within you “emotionally” is Feelings Buried Alive Never Die by Karol Truman. It is exceptional. I wish you much success with your health!

I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for the past 15 years not knowing that I had this horrible disorder. In June of 2007 I was finally diagnosed with it at Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Center in Dallas. I went through extensive treatments at this center including Vitamin Cocktail IVs,Detox IVs,antibiotics, antivirals, antifungal medications and many supplements.I ended up on 12 regular medications and 36 supplements. My condition got better but it was still far from perfect. When Reliv shakes came to my life,I was very skeptical and didn’t believe in Nutrition. But when you are experiencing a chronic pain on a daily basis, you will try everything in the whole world to relief your misery.
Reliv Nutritional shakes brought me more energy, healthy 8 hour sleep ,freed me from Fibro fog, improved my anxiety and depression.I was able to get rid of constipation and constant yeast infections.I am 95% pain free and my flares up are more seldom and mild. The main success with Reliv Nutritional skakes was that I got off 45 medications.

Hello Svetlana, I’m so glad that you took the time to post this information here about Reliv. I’m familiar with that company. They’ve been around a long time and helped a lot of people. I hope folks will reach out to you to ask some more questions. Thanks again and come back to visit the Health Matters Show!
