With Election Day being tomorrow, Nov. 2nd, it might be a good time for people with health issues, such as those suffering with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, to think ahead. You don’t want to face any big surprises at the polls. The time you spend now planning for your election day trip might help you make it there safely and with fewer symptoms after the event is over.
Plus, here are a few more tips: (If you think of any more, comment below and send them in. Maybe what you contribute will help out someone else.) [click to continue…]
I bet I know what you’re thinking when you read this title, Healing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: “There is no cure for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome… yet.” Today I want you to expand your mind beyond this widely held belief. Instead of cure, think more in terms of getting well and healing.
Cure is not the right word to use… not now. Cure is a purely traditional medicine, westernized term. It’s used solely by medical doctors, researchers and scientists. To date, they have not come up with a “cure” for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
In integrative, alternative, mind/body/spirit medicine, the two terms getting well and healing (or healed) are used when someone’s health status gets better and his or her body is on the mend. The terms imply a significant improvement in an otherwise sick person’s level of health.
And, if you’re anything like me when my health was so bad with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome plus…, I really didn’t care what anyone called anything. The only thing that I knew was that I wanted to get well.
So when I began to feel better and my life re-surfaced from the ash heap, everything in my world brightened overnight. Finally, I felt better. I was free of nagging, hanging-on-type health problems. I was finally healthy again!!
That why I made you this 9-minute video today. Really listen to what I’m saying about how you could be a candidate for healing what’s wrong with you. Then contact me with your questions about how to work directly with me and get Sacred Cellular Healing work -or- how to set up a “free” 15 minute telephone consult soon. We can discuss:
what’s going on with you and your illness,
the logistics of meeting in person or of talking on the telephone for our consultations over a period of weeks, (either method works as well as the other)
the cost involved, and finally
how you might be able to feel better, too. How you might experience your own healing. Now, this is already sounding like a plan!
Wishing you health and happiness,
Cinda Crawford, host of the Health Matters Show and

For most people, how to stay healthy or get healthy is a bit of a mystery. We all are curious about health issues. Certainly we know that vitamins (like Vitamin D), health supplements and Young Living essential oils can help us feel better, plus maintain and/or improve our health.
Suggestion: put the term “Vitamin D” in the search engine on this site and you’ll come up with several informative posts.
But I bet right this moment you’re having serious doubts about any “cure” for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia. No one has announced a full-fledged, unequivocable CURE for either condition!
If you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, if you know someone who suffers with it or if you’re simply curious about the illness, I highly encourage you to take 4 minutes out of your day to watch this video. The CFIDS Association of America has put this video together and it is really touching. (Then I invite you to explore this website for more information that might help you even further.)
I believe that everyone of us who currently has or has had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can relate to the CFIDS Association’s message. We have felt the pain, endured the symptoms and desperately wanted the hope that such a message brings. What’s even more interesting to me is that the CFIDS Association believes that it’s not only their duty to educate people, but to offer them real hope of solving the problem!
So I’m choosing to offer that hope and help, too, here at the Health Matters Show about how you might heal from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Don’t leave until you read about Sacred Cellular Healing.
Sacred Cellular Healing is a tool that I encourage you to investigate and use.
You can take advantage of it through me.
You see I used to be sick, but I’m not any longer. I’m well now! In my heart I believe that most people can improve their health through using various techniques and methodologies. Sacred Cellular Healing is a type of mind, body, spirit energy healing. When it works for folks, it works very well. It works efficiently, all the way down to the cellular level.
Have a wonderful day filled with healing and health!

Many people are eagerly anticipating a definitive test to diagnose Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). It may finally be here in the form of a diagnostic test that will identify the XMRV retrovirus!
“When we learned that XMRV might have such a high association with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, we immediately became interested in developing a test. Now, my two friends and everyone else who has suffered from the condition can take testing for XMRV into their own hands” says Brent C. Satterfield, Ph.D., President and CEO of Cooperative Diagnostics, LLC.
I say joy because this event has been anticipated as a pure testing breakthrough for so long. Would you believe we’ve been waiting for a CFS test for over 20 years? (And for the test to confirm an infection with a novel retrovirus is truly amazing!)
I say apprehension because now that we will be able to identify anything about CFS conclusively, with it regarded as such a multi-faceted and complicated illness, we’re likely to bring up tens of hundreds more questions. And, yes, probably more questions than answers at first. We’ll have to wait for the outcome to see how this shakes out and exactly what it will mean to the one million Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers, their friends, families and physicians.
The test costs $399.00 and I suspect that you may have a tough time getting your health insurance to pay for it at the very beginning. If anyone acquires such information and experience, please email me and let me know. I want to keep abreast of this important issue and I know that I won’t personally order or pay for this test since I’m now well.
Thanks and best of luck!

*Be sure to pass this information on your friends!
A woman was asked by a coworker, “What is it like to be a Christian?”
The coworker replied,
It is like being a pumpkin.’ God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.
This was passed on to me by another pumpkin. Now it’s your turn to pass this “fall” wish on to the other pumpkins in your patch.
I liked it enough to share it with all you, so I’m encouraging you to ‘Share This’ by clicking the link below. Send it to Digg or DeLicious or to a friend who could use a silly smile or a little seasonal fall encouragement… . Sometimes the upcoming winter season can be a bit tough for people who are already having a hard time.
From one crazy ‘lil vegetable to another!

*This is borrowed from some unknown creative person. I’d love to give him or her credit, but I don’t know who did it. Hope you enjoy.
I know that many people want to keep up to date with what is happening about the issue of research, etc., concerning XMRV, a newly implicated retrovirus and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Check out this new resource/event for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that you can put on your calendar for this Thursday. For many reasons, it should be a great information about XMRV. Dr. Dan Peterson will be providing an hour-long testimony in Washington at the CFSAC meeting on October 29th.
The meeting starts at 9am Eastern and Dr Peterson is on at 10 am, which is 9am CST.
Dr. Dan Peterson is the Medical Director of the Whittemore Peterson Institute, the origin/ source of this latest discovery for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. During more than 25 years of medical practice, Dr. Peterson has become a sought-after internist for diagnosing difficult and complex medical cases. When several patients in Incline Village became ill with symptoms that resembled persistent mononucleosis, Daniel Peterson was one of the first physicians to recognize an outbreak of what is known as ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). He became a pioneering physician and researcher in understanding the biological characteristics and methods for diagnosing, managing and treating ME/CFS.
I hope that you will take note of this link today and plan your Thursday morning schedule accordingly. I know I want to hear the newest information and do not want to miss anything that Dr. Peterson has to say. This is not only exiciting, but another of the very important developments in establishing the legitimacy and future of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as a recognizable and treatable illness.
Thank you, Cinda Crawford

On the Health Matters Show today, I’m reviewing all of the questions submitted this week about healing and getting well from Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) on the blog, on Twitter and on my Facebook page.
There have been some good ones, plus the comments are priceless. Let’s take a quick look at them. I hope you stick around for all of this week’s podcast. There’s extra special info at the very end.
Dear One,
Your healing path may be quite different than someone else’s journey. For just a moment, picture yourself sitting by the side of the road.
You’re hurting from Fibromyalgia pain and the numbness of unending brain fog.
Your body feels like screaming from the total exhaustion of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but you’re too tired to emit even one sound.
Still, you need someone to hear your call.
Please help me! I need help…
(21 min 44 second audio)
Yes, that’s a dramatic opening, but these diseases are dramatic! I know because I lived with them for 15 years. Now, I’m helping other people… people like you. So stick around for this great information.
Thanks so much, Cinda Crawford

An op ed piece by Hillary Johnson published in the NY Times on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, A Case of Chronic Denial, provides up-to-date information about how the XMRV retrovirus may be an integral piece of the puzzle called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The piece also recounts some good history of how all of the people who suffer with the illness got to this point in time. It’s quite a harrowing tale.
You may recall that Hillary Johnson authored the powerful book, Osler’s Web: Inside the Labyrinth of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Epidemic. [click to continue…]
All this week we’ve been looking at your major questions about healing and what is stopping you from getting well from Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. More specifically, the questions today are aimed at the end of the process.
*I would really appreciate it if you would read them and comment below. Your thoughts mean the world to me. Your participation keeps me going better than “super” vitamins!
1: What ideas or concepts about “healing” would you like to explore and learn more about?
2: What healing technique would you like to try in the future, particularly if it provided you with a better-than-average chance to improve your health -or- maybe even get really well?
3: What don’t you know about this specific technique that would help you make up your mind about whether to try it or not?
It’s a scary venture to walk the solitary path of “being sick” and know that you’re virtually alone. No one wants to suffer by himself or herself. However, to get to the place where you can reclaim your health, you must walk it exactly that way… alone. Maybe you hobble, maybe you crawl, but thankfully the struggle usually makes you stronger and wiser… . [click to continue…]
When it comes to getting better or healing, many people are not feeling better because, like you, they continue to suffer with symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Why? The answer(s) may not be readily apparent, but I encourage you not to let that stop you. Let’s continue to look at the issues anyway… until we find out what we need to know.
If you’ve had either of these illnesses for even a little while, you’re probably frustrated already. There are more questions than answers, plus the important questions don’t seem to have reasonable answers.
If you’ve been ill for an even longer period of time, you’re tired of waiting for someone or some thing to help you. What you want are valid answers to your questions -right now- because moments, days, months and years of your life are slipping away into oblivion. Your life is slipping right past you, without fanfare and, seemingly, without you being able to stop it.
So let’s determine what your questions are and get them answered. Then you can begin to do what is necessary to instigate a positive process for change in your life and health circumstances.
To learn more about the novel retrovirus named XMRV and how it might affect you if you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), you may want to take a few minutes and review this exciting video from Nevada News, which features Annette Whittemore, president and founder of the Whittemore Peterson Institute and Judy Mikovits, Ph.D., director of research for WPI.
Until now there have not been major breakthroughs in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome even though over twenty years of research has been done in the United States and abroad. Some of that research has been to find a novel retrovirus as the cause of CFS, but until now that hasn’t happened.
That’s not to say that there aren’t scores of scientists/ researchers/ doctors working very hard. There are many! And certainly we know more than we did in the 1980’s when the big push to figure out the cause of CFS began.
But to actually say that we have new, definitive tests that absolutely diagnose CFS, no, we don’t. To say that there are concrete markers and tests that the average, general practice doctor can run in his office, no, none are available. And until we do have those tests, people with CFS won’t:
Get the respect they deserve -or-
Have access to tools that can help them prove their illness for insurance claims or offer concrete proof of the illness for their Social Security disability claims!
Let’s rejoice in this finding and hope that we get even more answers and tools very quickly. (Click on “click to continue” below to see the video.) [click to continue…]
When you ask questions about getting well from Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, surely you include the basics, like what can help you and how. Let’s delve deeper in this important process and come up with some really good answers.
What or whose healing approach gives you the best possibility of getting well?
A traditional doctor or an alternative health practitioner who works with mind/body/spirit medicine? [click to continue…]
I received notice today that Dr. T, Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, is going to be the guest this Friday on the new Dr. Oz progam. That’s October 23, 2009. Check your local television schedule for the listing time.
Now, I like Dr. Teitelbaum for many reasons. He’s been where we are and he understands the illnesses of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (Fibro or FMS). Not only is he a doctor who specializes in helping people with these illnesses, he actually came down with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome while attending medical school. Because of that experience, he developed and implemented his Shine protocol for helping people recover. Plus, he acts as the Medical Director of the national Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Centers, Inc., nationwide.
I’ve never been a patient of Dr. Teitelbaum, but I did benefit from his online program once. You can, too, if you like. Find it as his website under the “Our Free Program” heading, midway down the page. I received recommendations from it that helped me decide which vitamin and nutraceutical supplements might help me the most. (For clarification, I used the paid program, but it’s been years ago and I only remember it was a bit more comprehensive, at that time. You would need to decide for yourself if one of the programs has the potential to help and give you the answers that you need.)
We’ve been talking about brain fog and how it affects the lives of those who suffer with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. On the blog and podcast today, I’m featuring Dr. Lawrence Wilson, who states that brain fog by itself is a very common condition. He lists such causes as physical, biochemical, emotional and spiritual.
Then he gets more specific with the following causes:
1: Toxic levels of metals and chemicals affecting the brain 2: Bowel toxicity 3: Electromagnetic toxicity 4: Adrenal (gland) burnout
I find the term adrenal burnout to be a really interesting phrase. Look at the words: adrenal, burnout. That’s really expressive because that’s what it feels like! You’re burned up, used, spent. One form of this type of burnout is found in an HPA (hypothalamus pituitary adrenal axis) imbalance. It’s a common problem for people with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. As well as the term adrenal burnout, you often hear the term adrenal fatigue, too. If you have symptoms of adrenal fatigue and seek out the right type of alternative health consultant, like me, your condition may be able to be corrected and then balance restored.
TIP: One thing you can do to improve your health right now right now is to choose to live a more conscious and mindful lifestyle -and- maintain a relaxed atmosphere around you.
If you’re sick, suffering and feeling a bit desperate, this can be difficult to achieve because you’re already struggling to keep a whole lot of proverbial plates in the air. You can’t do any more! Think of the old frantic juggler with an impossible task of attempting to spin ten or fifteen plates at one time. Down goes a plate here… a plate there. Soon he ends up with a mess on the floor.
Carrying this comparison one step further, let’s say that that juggler is you. You’re juggling work, home family, symptoms, money challenges, doctors, insurance and more. That essentially translates such that you are terribly sick and have no idea about which way to turn to get better. You’re suffering from burn out and you can’t think through or develop a plan to live, much less a plan to get well and heal from Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome without some specifically targeted help!
Today’s audio file is 21 minutes, 46 seconds long and it’s packed with information. Listen on this website by clicking the right-facing arrow or feel free to download the file at will. This podcast is yours free of charge! [click to continue…]
